Nicole C., Communications Strategist
I have a knack for helping mission-based organizations increase their impact and reach their organizational goals and now bring that to Buoy. My communications, advocacy, and policy work has helped my clients push for social change, garner awareness of injustices, and engage with their communities.
I recently worked with Compass Family Services, where I advocated for affordable housing opportunities for homeless families living in San Francisco. In my work there, I informed community members about the growing housing inequality in the Bay Area, and I pushed for policies that positively impacted those most affected by San Francisco's housing crisis.
In my roles with public relations agencies, I supported clients such as the National Institutes of Health and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Through advocacy and storytelling, my work helped to increase public health awareness and promote policies that improved educational opportunities for girls and students of color.
I graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and received my master’s in International Affairs from The New School. After living in the District of Columbia, New York City, and San Francisco, I have finally decided to call Atlanta home. You can usually catch me spending time with my family, jogging, and leading my book club.
